The Concrete Centre to sponsor Best Use of Concrete Technology in Offsite Construction Awards
The Concrete Centre is thrilled to be sponsoring the Best Use of Concrete Technology category in this year’s Offsite Construction Awards.
The 2020 entries are now open, so make sure you submit your project or innovation by the 15th May deadline.

The category will reward the exemplar use of precast concrete in a project across any UK construction sector. The criteria includes floor and wall panels, cladding, volumetric and pod technology, pre-stressed units and formwork systems. The entrant will have used concrete as a major component in delivering quality, factory-controlled, robust and sustainable offsite manufacture.
Special attention will be given to material performance levels and any project should clearly demonstrate how cost-predictability, economy, accuracy, transportability, speed of installation and principles of lean manufacture have been achieved.
Last year’s winners - Dandara Group: Dandara Build-to-Rent
Winners of the category in 2019, Dandara, has established that offsite construction provides an ideal building solution and have fully embraced this methodology for all of their Build to Rent projects. 2,063 units are currently under construction at three sites in: Arena Central in Birmingham, Leodis Square in Leeds and Chapel Wharf in Salford, Manchester. Planning is also now approved for a further 2,000 additional units at several other sites in the UK.

Entering the Offsite Construction Awards is free and allows the most innovative achievements in offsite construction to be upheld by the industry alongside those considered the nation's best.
Being shortlisted for the awards will earn recognition within the offsite and wider construction industry - opening doors to securing new business development opportunities. Earning a 'highly commended' or ultimately, winning an award will gain national recognition, giving entrants the opportunity to make their mark on this important market.
