Sunward helps Mr Plant and Machinery Sales score the perfect 10
New Sunward dealer Mr Plant and Machinery Sales ordered 43 machines to start with!
New Sunward dealer Mr Plant and Machinery Sales has already scored the perfect 10 after just a few weeks as the manufacturer’s distributor in Kent, Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The Chatham-based business kicked off its dealership debut on June 1st with an order for a massive 43 Sunward machines, ranging from the mini-excavators SWE 18UF, SWE 25UF and SWE 50UF, to the compact excavator SWE 90UF, and SWTL 4538 skid steer.
These Sunward machines will typically be hired by customers in construction, demolition, recycling, groundworks, solar farms, farming, utilities and plant hire.
Mr Plant and Machinery Sales’ managing director Lee Goodger said: “As a family-run business with a wealth of experience, knowledge and a reputation for great customer service I felt I was ready to take on the Sunward dealership for the South, so I took the opportunity to make some phone calls and got in front of the right people, and we worked together to make this happen.
“I am very happy to be a part of the Sunward brand and look forward to hopefully having many years at it. We have sold 10 machines to date and are waiting for more to turn up. We had 43 machines on order to start with!”
He added: “The challenges in plant hire at the moment are that the costs of purchasing plant are going up but hire rates are staying the same, if not going down. Sunward helps with reduced up-front costs, making them a better option for plant hire companies to be competitive yet achieve the same revenue.
“For example, Sunward’s 3.5-tonne excavator comes with air-conditioning and seven hydraulic lines as standard, and these add-ons would be subject to additional charges from other manufacturers. Relatively little factors like these make all the difference in this day and age.”
