RM Penny invest in a Keestrack Novum screener to cope with increased demand.
A spike in demand for demolition and construction waste recycling across Bristol, Bath and the south west of England has encouraged Somerset firm RM Penny to snap up a new screener from Molson Green.
The multi-disciplined company based in Ston Easton near Bath runs a series of recycling operations processing demolition waste and construction arisings into useable soil, fill and recycled aggregates.
Demand for those products has increased with the RM Penny team looking to expand its fleet of machines to meet that demand through the introduction of a Keestrack Novum screener.
The Novum is quick and easy to set up taking just 30minutes to become operational, helping to maximise processing time. It is compact and can be easily transported from location to location.
With a 4200 x 1500mm screen box the Keestrack Novum can process as much as 300tonnes of material each hour and can be easily converted from a 3 way to 2-way material size split.
It has a transport length of 10.61m, a transport height of 3.13m, width of 2.55m and weighs in at 26.5tonnes.
The Novum is available as an electric powered version offering huge savings in energy consumption and maintenance and operating costs.
It is the ideal pre-screening/scalping machine and for the screening of heavy over-burden, recycling landfill and top soil as well as processing waste timber and separating ‘sticky’ aggregates. It can be set up before or behind a crusher and is equally at home in sand or gravel and quarrying applications.
“The Novum is the perfect machine for the work that the RM Penny team has earmarked for it. It is versatile, easy to set up, fuel efficient and robust enough to stand up to the tough conditions it has to work through,” says Molson area sales manager Tom Wilson.
The RM Penny team has taken a host of local projects recently including work at Bristol Airport and other schemes further afield across Somerset, Wiltshire, Berkshire and the South West.
The Keestrack Novum is the latest addition to the RM Penny fleet that Molson Group has supplied. Last year the team took two Keestrack Apollo jaw crushers as well as two Hyundai loading shovels - an HL960 and an HL740-9A and a Caterpillar dozer sourced by Tom.
“We have been working with RM Penny for a year or so now and the team has been very happy with the two Keestrack Apollo jaw crushers, the Hyundai loaders and the level of service that they have received from Molson. They like the fact that we are local and they know how quick we are to sort out any issues that may arise,” explains Tom.
