Mick George Praises ‘Off The Shelf’ Vehicle Provider

Mick George Ltd, a leading supplier of soil disposal, aggregate & concrete supply, and waste management services is continuing the rapid expansion of its commercial waste and recycling services, adding more vehicles to its fast-growing fleet. 

The company has ordered three new refuse vehicles from preferred supplier Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) via its RediTruck range of brand new, ready to drive away refuse vehicles. The vehicles are 1x DAF and 2x Mercedes Econic chassis with Olympus bodies and fitted with Beta trade bin lifts.

Lukasz Borodziuk, Head of Operations, Mick George Ltd said: “We need to respond quickly to changes in demand, for example if we win a new tender. If we need new vehicles we inevitably need them immediately. Also, if a vehicle breaks down we can’t afford the downtime; we need to replace it straight away to maintain our service levels.”

“RVS have never let us down and always fulfil our requirements. They keep a stock of new vehicles so we can literally buy ‘off the shelf’. Also, if one of our vehicles breaks down, needs servicing or if we need weighing equipment, they can sort it all out and provide us with hire vehicles to cover the shortfall.”

Mick George Ltd first purchased a vehicle from RVS after last year’s RWM show at the NEC and has gone on to use the company’s full range of support services.

“We are currently in talks about a vehicle maintenance contract as they have the expertise to keep our vehicles going stronger for longer.”

The RediTruck offer from RVS provides brand new, ready for work, refuse vehicles without having to wait typical manufacturer 6-9 month lead times. The company also offers a host of support services: repairs, preventative maintenance, hire vehicles, parts, field repairs, Quality Used vehicles and remanufacturing services.

Paul Brown, Commercial Director, RVS said: “If we haven’t got the right vehicle available right away from stock, we operate a large hire fleet so we can usually get a vehicle to the customer same day. We pride ourselves on being flexible, which is why we offer every possible support service. No two customers are the same.”
