Develon dealer territory changes in the Netherlands

Develon has announced changes to dealer territories in the Netherlands to strengthen its market position. These changes took effect on 1 January 2026 and are being managed jointly by existing dealers Anema and Staad, together with the newly appointed dealer, ELM Groep.

Based in Arum, Anema will continue to be responsible for the areas of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, North Holland, Flevoland and Overijssel. The ELM Groep, located in Waddinxveen, will cover the areas of Gelderland, Utrecht, South Holland, Zeeland, and North Brabant West of A27. Staad, based in Veghel, will cover the areas of Limburg and North Brabant with its operating area bordered by the East of A27 motorway.

Each partner will serve its own distinct region being responsible for sales and servicing of the Develon crawler, wheeled and mini/midi excavator, wheel loader, dozer and articulated dump truck ranges in their respective areas.

Stronger Network

While familiar faces will remain, the new structure enables dealers to operate more effectively within their respective regions, optimising market coverage. This will allow faster customer response times, along with enhanced service and parts support. Importantly, there will be no change to day-to-day operations for customers and end users.

Customers of all the companies benefit from excellent on-site service networks, covering everything from emergency repairs to routine maintenance. The companies’ engineers bring many years of hands-on experience in the repair and servicing of plant and machinery.

As well as covering existing contracts, Anema, ELM Groep and Staad provide flexible service agreements and rental services with advanced attachments depending on the requirements of the customer.  They offer service and warranty work on all existing Develon machines in their areas, backed by a full selection of genuine accessories and parts.  All the dealers hold a stock of new and used Develon branded machines, to respond quickly to customers’ needs.

Ambition in the Tracked Segment

Develon has experienced strong growth in the Dutch market in recent years, with its mobile excavators widely regarded as market leaders. However, the company’s ambitions extend beyond this segment. With the introduction of the new 9 series of tracked excavators, Develon is aiming to achieve a leading position in this market as well. This ambition is underlined by the DX260LC-9, which achieved the highest score ever recorded in an independent test in Norway, outperforming other major brands.

ELM Groep & Development of Electric Machines

The ELM Groep was founded in 1926, and has been supplying machines for industry, municipalities, agriculture and horticulture for almost 100 years.

Previously, ELM Groep was a sub-dealer for Develon earthmoving machines but has now been awarded increased territory together with a collaborative arrangement to support the development of zero emission electric earthmoving machines for Develon.

This partnership-driven strategy involves ETEC Zero Emission, a company that specializes in integrating electric drivetrains and developing energy solutions for heavy equipment. It was originally founded as ELM Groep in 1926. The set-up enables Develon to deliver electric excavators that match diesel performance while integrating advanced charging, powertrain and control solutions tailored for Dutch and other European jobsite requirements

The collaboration has resulted in a new line of Develon electric excavators, including wheeled and crawler models, which offer powerful battery configurations designed to operate for a full working day on a single charge.
