A specially customised bucket for Kitchin Plant Hire

Ollie Kitchin, the owner of Kitchin Plant Hire was a proud customer when he saw his new REMU Crossover XO Bucket for the first time at the recent Plantworx Show. Ollie had chosen to have his new bucket specially customized in his company colours at the REMU factory, and Worsley Plant were delighted to be able to show it off.

Kitchin Plant Hire has been operating for over 14 years. Based in York, they are a supplier of a Specialist Wheeled Excavator with Engcon Tiltrotator System. Multiple attachments are available including: Grabs, Forks, Breaker, Trailer, Compactor and now Screening Buckets.

The Crossover bucket (XO for short) is a totally new concept in the attachment sector, offering customers the most versatile attachment for their construction machinery, offering a choice of modules for different applications.

They’ve chosen to invest in the REMU bucket initially with the screener module, as it will allow them to screen soil and aggregates on site. The unique Crossover design will give them the ability to change over modules – an attractive proposition for Ollie giving him the chance to invest in other modules in the future.

Ollie has known Sean Heron, Worsley Plant’s MD a while. He was aware that Worsley Plant sold Screening Buckets, so made contact, once he was in a position to make the investment.

Ollie said: “I can’t afford to buy equipment that’s not great quality. I needed to make a worthwhile investment that would serve the company well, both now and in the future. The unique Crossover Bucket will allow me to save time and money on site, not to mention the benefit of recycling materials, rather than taking them to landfill or buying them in.

The REMU bucket has the potential to cover a lot of uses for us in the future, and gives me the chance to stay ahead of the game. With the back-up of Worsley Plant we are in a strong position.”
