14th International Fair of Road Construction Industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA

The 14th edition of the International Fair of Road Construction Industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA will be held on 14-16 May 2008 at Kielce Trade Fairs.

The International Fair of Road Construction Industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA is the largest event dedicated to the road construction industry in Poland, in addition to being one of the largest in Europe. For a few years, this fair has been attracting companies which are involved in road and motorway construction projects. Since Poland joined the European Union, this fair has also become a business platform for facilitating co-operation between western companies and their partners in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. The high development dynamics of AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA can be testified by statistical data: the first edition, which was held in 1995, took up 2700 m2 of exhibition space, attracting 250 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors. The tenth anniversary of this fair was marked by more than 500 companies representing a dozen countries. AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA 2006 attracted 753 exhibitors from 23 countries: Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, USA. The exhibition space taken up by AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA in 2006 was 30% larger than the year before. Significantly increased attendance has been recorded since the decision as to assigning the organization of Euro 2012 to Poland and Ukraine was announced. "Poland has become a place of enormous investments. The construction of almost 3,000 kilometres of expressways and motorways, which will entail expenditures amounting to 121 billion zlotys, or even 135 billion zlotys, constitutes the largest project of this kind in Europe", said deputy prime minister, Przemysław Gosiewski, opening the 13th International Fair of Road Construction Industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA
