Zappshelter marks a decade of Storm-Proven Container Shelter Protection with £10,000 charity pledge.

Zappshelter, the UK’s leading provider of container and block-mounted shelters, is celebrating its 10th anniversary of ‘protecting what matters’. Since its founding in 2015, the company has set a new benchmark in the industry, and become the byword for engineering and durability, installing almost 1000 shelters across the UK and Ireland with a perfect record of zero structural failures through more than 70 named storms.

To mark this milestone, Zappshelter is launching the ‘Ten Pledge’, a charitable initiative via its respected Zapp Foundation, as well as offering free custom branding for clients on all orders placed throughout August.

The company was founded by Managing Director Craig Michel, who, with a background in construction, saw the potential to revolutionise the market with a container-mounted concept. After two years of intensive development to engineer the product for the demanding British and Irish climate, Craig launched the business from a small office near Perth with just three employees. Today, Zappshelter has grown into the most widely recognised brand in this sector with a team of 40, and recently moved into a new, purpose-built head office.

“Reaching 10 years is a powerful moment for us. It’s a testament to the incredible hard work of our team and the trust our customers have placed in our engineering,” said Craig Michel, Managing Director. “We started from nothing with a simple goal: to provide the most durable and reliable shelter system available. Seeing that vision come to life is both rewarding and humbling, and knowing our structures protect our clients’ most valuable assets through the toughest conditions is what drives us every day. We remain absolutely passionate about innovation and excellence as we step into our next decade. Watch this space!”

Zappshelter’s success is built on a foundation of superior engineering. Unlike other temporary options, Zappshelters are engineered to permanent building standards (BS EN 1991 & 1993) and feature high-tensile strength Taurinox® membrane covers and about four times more steel than cheap alternatives, giving them at least 50% more strength, with impressive longevity statistics. This robust design has been proven across the waste and recycling, construction, aggregates, and agriculture sectors, even on wind farms at some of the country’s most exposed locations.

As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Zappshelter’s ‘Ten Pledge’ will see the company support ten different charities over the next year with ten acts of kindness, totalling a £10,000 contribution.
