Tana provides business opportunities for waste management professionals

TANA RECYCLING MACHINERY (UK) Ltd are celebrating our first-year trading as the TANA representative here in the UK and would like to thank all our existing and new customers for choosing TANA.
During this first-year we have been able to introduce many new customers to the TANA brand; whilst still offering our existing customer the servicing, parts, specialist knowledge and back-up support you would expect from one of the leading names in waste machinery. The TANA Machines can bring a wealth of benefits to the end users and provide the customer with a solid platform for their waste processing.
Whether this be our unique Landfill Compactor with two full width drums which still plays a key role in the product portfolio or recycling machinery including TANA SHARK slow speed shredder, TANA 6Deco Drumscreen and the NEW TE DISC-SCREEN which are becoming more and more important. This a natural reflection of the ongoing development and trends of solid waste treatment. Tana is a pioneer of using electrical control systems and applying IT applications in its products. In fact, it is the first manufacturer equipping its’ shredders with an onboard scaling system.
TANA SHARK waste shredder is the most versatile shredder on the market. Versatility in Tana’s case does not only mean the ability to shred a wide variety of different waste streams. Tana is especially strong in shredding materials that are typically seen as difficult, abrasive or impossible even, e.g. mattresses, tyres, shingles (roofing materials), ragger wire. Versatility also means the ability to produce the wanted particle size with the one and same machine. Pre-shredder producing big volumes can easily be tuned to producing RDF, i.e. 80 mm particle size by putting a rotor screen underneath the rotor.
In addition to the TANA SHARK shredder there is the 6Deco Drumscreen in the offering. It is like any other drum screen, except for the state-of-the art control system with remote access and the scaling system on the conveyors showing the output of the oversize and fines.
2017 addition to the product family is the TANA TE mobile disc screen manufactured by Ecostar for Tana.
Tana’s headquarter is based in Finland and the products are sold all over the world through a network of independent distributors. Tana holds a 20% share of the landfill compactor markets, being a market leader in several countries. Tana launched its TANA Shark product line of slow-speed waste shredders in 2006 and has managed to reach an impressive position in such a brief period of time. Over 90 % of the company’s turnover comes from export.
