ERIKS “strong service” wins new South West Water contract

ERIKS “strong service” wins new South West Water contract

Strong service and competitive pricing have won ERIKS a new contract with South West Water, the provider of drinking and waste water services for Devon and Cornwall. The three-year contract to maintain South West Water's waste water pump network commenced on February 1st 2012.

The two companies have established a strong relationship over recent years and so when South West Water decided to outsource maintenance of its waste water pump network, ERIKS was naturally a strong contender. ERIKS proved itself as the strongest candidate during a competitive tender process by achieving high scores in the evaluation of its commercial, service, innovation and organisational capacities.

Damian Hunt, Category Manager for South West Water, praised ERIKS, stating that its tender submission and tender assessment interview demonstrated, "a strong approach to service combined with competitive pricing".

ERIKS' capability to provide efficient maintenance of South West Water's waste water pump network is strongly supported by two key service centres in Bath and Exeter, which offer both stocks and expertise in depth. ERIKS can also rely on well-established relationships with pump OEM supply framework holders, enabling the maintenance work to meet the stringent KPI targets of service delivery on a large scale.

Mary Whelan, Commercial Manager, ERIKS Electro Mechanical Services, commented, "I'm delighted that we can increase the scope of what we do for South West Water and further develop our relationship. It's very satisfying to have scored such an important competitive contract win, which I believe is the combined result of our strength in providing local resources, technical ability, knowhow and a great support network in house."
