JCB Showcases materials handling and utility machines at IFAT 2016

JCB will be showcasing machines from its specialist waste and recycling, re-handling and Fastrac ‘Kommunal’ utility ranges, at IFAT in Munich from 30 May to 3 June 2016. Germany has the largest waste and recycling market in Europe, and is home to the most advanced and organised utility applications market in the world, so it needs a wide variety of quality machines, such as those offered by JCB.

Visitors to stand 215/314 at IFAT – the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management – will be able to find out about JCB’s Wastemaster range, which is tailor-made for handling the materials that the waste and recycling industries deal with; from paper to wood, metals to rubber, and glass to grass. The machines on show are:

  • The 457 Wastemaster – a versatile machine designed to improve operator safety and owner profitability as it delivers increased output at lower engine revs, reducing fuel consumption, noise and emissions. The machine has been developed for use on high output waste and recycling sites to move materials and load lorries. It features a new 7.7 litre MTU engine delivering 193kW (258hp), meeting Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emissions standards and a new JCB CommandPlus Cab providing best-in-class comfort, visibility, ergonomics and noise reduction.
  • The 35D 4x4 Wastemaster Plus Teletruk – this machine features a telescopic boom instead of a mast which offers a number of benefits over conventional forklifts. In particular, a Teletruk can reach forwards to lift and place loads quickly and safely, even in confined spaces. Operators can load and unload delivery trucks from one side – saving up to 50% of yard loading space – and they can drive right inside shipping containers. The new machine has a range of new safety features, including greater operator protection and better visibility.
  • The JCB Fastrac 4190 Utility – The 4000 Series is very compact and manoeuvrable, so is ideally suited to communal applications in smaller towns and villages where it can be used to mow grass in the summer (with front and rear deck mounted mowers) or clear snow in the winter (with front snow plough and rear deck mounted salt spreader). The Fastrac 4190 features JCB’s Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engine; a deluxe cab; full suspension; automatic chassis levelling system and four disc ABS-Brake-System on front- and rear axle; and a 4-wheel-steer-system for optimal manoeuvrability.

JCB offers 35 machines in its Wastemaster range, and each individual machine built is bespoke for the customer to ensure that it meets their needs. With over 30 years’ experience of manufacturing waste and recycling machines, JCB can offer its customers the perfect fit. To find out more visit stand 215/314 at IFAT, Messe München, Germany, 30 May to 3 June to see these machines in person and discuss your requirements.
