Put the Pedal to the Metal at UK’s Only Metals Recycling Event

Donington Race Track on 13-14 July 2016

This brand new two day trade show and exhibition in association with the BMRA (British Metals Recycling Association) is the first of its kind in Europe. Offering a host of exciting features including the indoor exhibition showcasing the latest machinery and services, live outdoor demonstrations and a line-up of key influential speakers, MRE is a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with metal processors and suppliers to the sector.

Visitors to the event can also benefit from attending the co-located Complete Auto Recycling and Secondary Materials (CARS) trade show, Europe’s leading event dedicated to auto recycling.

Chris Floate, editor with SCRAP Professional, said: “This event is the only trade show dedicated to metals recycling. Whether you are a merchant, processor or involved in transportation, the event provides a platform to learn, share and improve practices throughout the sector. MRE is about building profits, reducing costs and having a great time doing it - that’s why I keep going on about it - I’ve seen how well the sister show, CARS works.”

Current exhibitors include; Blue Fuchs, E. H. Hassell & Sons, Hammel, JMC Recycling, Redwave, and ZB Group among other equipment manufacturers, processors and operators.

What sets the Metals Recycling Event apart from traditional trade shows is the Outdoor Live Demonstration Area, showcasing machinery and products designed to make operations easier, slicker and more efficient. Outdoor exhibitors will demonstrate their machinery and how best to use it for optimal performance and safety.

The International Conference Theatre will host speakers sharing knowledge to directly enhance and improve business operations. The programme will give an early glimpse of new technologies set to transform the sector, and updates on changes to legislation, ensuring attendees are well-informed about upcoming market developments. With a fantastic line up of speakers including Roger Morton, Director of Axion Recycling, Peter Mathews, Chairman of Black Country Metals and Emmanuel Katrakis, Secretary General at EuRIC, MRE is the place to discuss the biggest issues facing the sector.

The Skills Lab will enable visitors to learn about new processes and techniques, with hands-on practical training to boost operations and run a more efficient and profitable business.
“The Metals Recycling Event is a great place to do business, and an opportunity to really get to know your suppliers and customers in an informal setting,” added Chris Floate.

On the night of 13 July, a Gala Dinner provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere to meet friends and colleagues, make some new contacts and perhaps open doors to new possibilities. Tickets for the dinner cost £75.
