Growing membership for the Construction Recycling Alliance

The Construction Recycling Alliance has added two new members to their ranks following a visit to the construction and demolition waste recycling plant being operated by JPE Aggregates at Elford Quarry in England.

David Barnes of the CRA visited the site last week and met with Steven Birch, Managing Director of JPE Aggregates and Peter Craven of CDE Global who have installed a modular washing plant for construction and demolition waste at Elford quarry.

Commenting on the new membership from JPE Aggregates David said "We are delighted to be able to welcome JPE Aggregates to the CRA as one of the leading recycling companies operating in the West Midlands. Their commitment to developing the opportunities offered by the effective recycling of construction and demolition waste is in evidence at Elford following their significant investment in the new washing plant from CDE."

CDE Global has also been successful in the application for Approved Supplier status with the CRA following the site visit by David Barnes to the company's latest recycling plant installation. "The opportunities for the production of high quality recycled sand and aggregates through the introduction of modern technologies such as those offered by CDE Global are significant and can only help widen the application of recycled materials" explained David Barnes. "We are delighted to welcome CDE Global to the CRA and look forward to working closely with them."

The signing of JPE Aggregates and CDE Global comes in advance of a series of open day events being organised at Elford quarry offering operators from throughout the UK and Europe an opportunity to see the latest C&D recycling technology in operation.

These events take place between Monday 1st and Friday 4th March and anyone interested in attending can get more information by contacting CDE Global at +44 28 8676 7900 or by email at info@cdeglobal.com
