Andusia Celebrate Collecting 1 Millionth Tonne

Andusia Recovered Fuels Ltd is pleased to announce that it is celebrating the collection of its 1 Millionth Tonne of RDF to be sent to Europe for recovery.

Since Andusia’s launch in 2012, the company has grown to be one of the UKs largest independent exporters of RDF across Europe, celebrating many milestones over the 5 years. 2016 saw Andusia collect its 750,000th tonne and then 900,000th tonne in 2017.

Andusia is delighted to be celebrating this exciting industry milestone with two of its long-standing customers. The millionth bale will be produced and collected from AWM in Leeds and then delivered to SWB in Bremen.

Associated Waste Management is Yorkshire’s leading provider of sustainable waste resource management and commercial recycling solutions, employing over 248 staff across over 10 facilities. Mike Robinson from AWM said “Here at Associate Waste Management we are very pleased to be involved in this exciting industry event, and proud that Andusia’s millionth tonne will be produced at our facility. We have enjoyed a long relationship with Andusia and look forward to this continuing.”

The bale will then be transported to SWB in Bremen who have been working with Andusia for many years. SWB are a well-established company in the waste to energy market, operating two energy from waste plants in Bremen. Its vision being to provide as many people as possible with modern energy solutions for the future. Michael Bartels from SWB said “Andusia are a strong and credible supplier of ours. With the directors having plenty of experience between them, we can always rely on Andusia to provide not only the best market knowledge, but also service. We’re proud to be involved in this milestone for Andusia.”

In order to achieve this impressive milestone Andusia will be working with one of their reliable hauliers to collect and safely deliver the millionth bale, TrailerTrans.

Following a very successful 5 years in business, Andusia is excited to celebrate this milestone in RDF export and further confirm its position in the market place. 2017 saw Andusia increase the team to deal with the growing business demand and recently announced that the company has now moved into the loose RDF market rather than just baled. This move will increase supply chain offering and will allow them to use a wider supply base from energy waste management companies that would have previously been excluded from the RDF export market.
