R Collard Ltd is delighted to claim the title Dynamic Business of the Year after a glittering gala dinner for the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards (TVBMA) held at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on November 16, where the award was presented by guest speaker and impressionist Jon Culshaw.

The Dynamic Business of the Year award looks for businesses that have demonstrated a clear vision for the development of their staff, systems, products or services throughout the year. The award recognises not just financial performance, but management’s ambition to develop talent and to take advantage of new funding, M&A, technological or commercial opportunities.

This award’s sponsors, NatWest, visited R Collard’s Head Office earlier this year to see for themselves the company’s clear vision for strong, continuous growth that has transformed it into a major regional player in the waste management, demolition and haulage business.

R Collard’s Managing Director, Robert Collard, commented: “The Thames Valley is home to some of the most successful and dynamic businesses in the UK - from start-ups to multinationals – and I am delighted that R Collard has been considered amongst the best. It is an exciting area in which to run a business, offering opportunities for expansion and collaboration which, combined with the enthusiasm of R Collard’s staff has enabled us to thrive.”

Launched by The Business Magazine in the 1990s, TVBMA has grown in stature and reputation over the years, and in its 23rd year makes the Awards the longest running in the region. Covering the M4, M40 and M3 corridors, the Awards highlight the best of business in the area and fly the flag for the Thames Valley, one of the UK’s leading economic engine rooms. The chosen charity for the evening was The Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice.
