Technology from Lindner-Recyclingtech wins two Global CemFuels Awards in 2017

Technology from Lindner-Recyclingtech came away with two prizes at the recent Global CemFuels Awards 2017, which were presented on February 2 during the 11th Global CemFuels Conference and Exhibition in Barcelona.

One of the awards went to Lindner itself in the category "Most Innovative Technology for Alternative Fuels". Lindner is the first manufacturer of shredding machines to have won an award in this category four times. This year's award was to mark the highly successful market launch last year of the new Polaris single-shaft shredder. The company optimized this system for the one-step processing of refuse-derived fuel (RDF), specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of the cement and lime industry, and thus set a new benchmark in this sector.

In the category "Alternative Fuels Supplier of the Year", the global CemFuels Award went to the Dutch company N+P International B.V., which uses a Polaris single-shaft shredder and thus Lindner's state-of-the-art shredding technology, for the production of high-grade RDF. It is the third time after 2015 and 2016 that it has received this award. N+P has been using the new system since the end of 2016 and has been able to increase its production capacity to a nominal shredder output of 20 metric tons of industrial waste per hour. The result is a Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) with a grain size of 120 mm and a high-energy content, which is subsequently processed in a complex process to produce pellets.

The Global CemFuels Conference and Trade Fair is regarded as the world's most important trade show with a focus on alternative fuels, above all for the cement and lime industry. This year, 185 experts from 37 countries took part. The award in the relevant categories is a direct reflection of the high trust and confidence enjoyed by both Lindner and N+P in the industry.

Managing Director Manuel Lindner said:

"We have now received this award for the fourth time and regard it as an expression of the satisfaction of our customers and the industry with our products and our respective services. At the same time, this award is an enormous incentive for us not only to maintain our innovative strength but also to continuously develop it. With our new Polaris single-shaft shredder, we are moving exactly along this path. The industry has rewarded our performance and made the new Polaris range a big sales success. The fourth win of a Global CemFuels Award after 2009, 2014 and 2015 confirms to us that our uncompromising orientation to quality and reliability is also the right road forward for the future."

Lindner, Spittal an der Drau/Österreich (www.l-rt.com), Lindner, has for decades been offering innovative and successful shredding solutions. At its Austrian production sites in Spittal/Drau and Feistritz/Drau, Lindner manufactures machines and plant components that are exported to nearly one hundred countries around the world.

Beyond stationary and mobile crushing and shredding machines for waste recycling, its portfolio includes complete systems for plastics recycling and the processing of substitute fuels and substrates for biomass equipment.

N+P, Nieuw-Bergen/The Netherlands (http://www.np-recycling.nl), has been focusing for over 20 years on the development, coordination and realization of global concepts for recycling industrial residues.
