The Recycling Partnership Expands Fleet With FORS-Redi Trucks

Crawley-based commercial waste and recycling company The Recycling Partnership was recently awarded FORS Bronze accreditation for its high standards in fleet health and safety, and has equipped its two latest refuse trucks with the latest safety and weighing equipment to meet FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) standards.

The vehicles, both Mercedes Econic with Dennis Eagle Olympus bodies and fitted with Beta Trade Bin lifts, were supplied by Gloucestershire-based Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) from its RediTruck stock. They have are equipped with a Cyclist Warning System, 4x Camera hard disk recording, fall arrest safety system, LED side beacons and the VWS ENVIROWEIGH bin weighing system.

The RediTruck service from RVS enables waste operators to buy new commercially equipped refuse vehicles from stock without having to wait manufacturer’s long lead times.

Jason Taylor, The Recycling Partnership said: “We are delighted with the vehicles. They are the correct specification and RVS delivered them to us, ready for work, in a matter of weeks. We used to have to do all the specifications ourselves and then wait months and months for the new vehicle to arrive from the manufacturer. At RVS they do it all under one roof, which is much more straightforward for us.”

The Recycling Partnership was recently awarded the FORS Bronze accreditation for its high standards in fleet health and safety, and the new vehicles more than comply with these requirements:

Continued Jason: “We look after our vehicles and keeping up to date with the latest safety recommendations is important to us so we are delighted that our efforts have been recognized by FORS. “

Paul Brown, Commercial Director, RVS said: “RediTruck has been a huge success because customers want their vehicles to arrive fully equipped and prepared to do the job, and they only want to deal with one company. We sold over 25 last year in addition to our Quality Used vehicles, plus we have been expanding our own hire fleet, which numbers around 50 vehicles now. We are expanding our premises to create additional capacity to meet demand.”

As well as providing new (RediTruck), Quality Used and Remanufactured vehicles, RVS also offers the full range of refuse vehicle support services. These include: new, used and reconditioned parts with next day delivery; repairs and maintenance; vehicle ancillary equipment fitted as required; an extensive fleet of vehicles for short to long term hire including contract hire; finance; and a Low Loader vehicle transportation service.
