Need even more suction power than your average industrial vacuum unit?
No problem, says Richard Eve, Gotland's Managing Director, as he explains: "While mobile Vacloaders can always be brought to the occasional major waste and material handling challenge, or one of our usual units for most of the everyday waste, dust or material handling requirements, we sometimes need to provide a different kind of vacuum solution – and that's where the BlasterVac comes into its own."
Eve continues: "So if it's a regular requirement, or the volumes involved are very large, or even if you just need to move material over long distances using suction pipes, it's probably a better bet to have a unit like a BlasterVac. Originally designed as a stand alone unit for the recovery of blasting grit in ports and shipyards, we have found over the past few years an increasing demand for this totally enclosed material recovery solution in industries such as steelworks, asphalt production and cement works. The BlasterVac has also been deployed very successfully by sugar processors, foundries, mining companies and power stations."
BlasterVac: what you need to know
Available with a range of diesel or electrically-powered motors from 30kW up to 55kW, the BlasterVac is a seriously powerful unit, using a Roots blower vacuum pump to generate air volumes from 1,800m3 to 5,500m3 at 90%+ efficiency. This is massive in terms of air movement and means tonnes of material can be moved quickly and efficiently without any risk of blockages. As a stand alone unit the BlasterVac can of course serve in all kind of environments with most kind of materials. The Diesel version is especially versatile as there is no need for electric power to be made available.
The BlasterVac on display at HillHead 2012, will be the 55 kW Diesel Version, and is fitted with a comprehensive 15m2 filter system and a 20m2 safety control filter for ultimate pump protection.
Lots of options
While there's a choice of motors and power levels, the BlasterVac comes with its own separation unit and can also be equipped with a further range of options such as radio remote controls, Big-Bag discharge, bin level control and many more.
The BlasterVac is simple to use, simple to run and gets the job done, providing you and your operatives with a cleaner, safer working environment and a more efficient site in terms of H&S and general housekeeping standards.
