Anaconda's range growing rapidly!

Anaconda's range growing rapidly!

Northern Ireland based Anaconda Equipment International has just returned from the Intermat show in Paris, France after yet another product launch. The FTR150 tracked feeder conveyor is now the 12th new product designed, manufactured and launched by the company in under 36 months.

Anaconda offer a wide range of mobile conveyors and screeners designed for use primarily in the mining, quarrying and waste recycling industries. The range of conveyors is designed to work in tandem with most of the mobile crushers and screens on the market. Anaconda introduced tracked screeners to their range back in April 2010 with the launch of the DF410 tracked scalping screen and since then, they have rolled out the SR410 screen, the TD516 Trommel screen and now the FTR150 tracked feeder conveyor. Prior to all of this, Anaconda had designed and launched eight designs in the range of conveyors offered.

Not only has the range grown rapidly, the network of distributors across the globe has also taken off. Products are being sold as far away as New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, India, Bahrain, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, California, Canada and Boston. There is off course a network throughout Europe despite the current difficult trading conditions that exist in most of the European nations. When asked about the rapid growth of the Anaconda brand, Sales & Marketing Director, Con Gallagher, highlights some of the reasons for the company's success:
"Anaconda has become a household name in a short space of time thanks mainly to the quality of what we turn out and the network of professional distributors that we work with. Our design team are exceptional, our staff hard working and conscientious and our dealer network committed to their customers wants and needs. It takes all the links in the chain to be strong if you are to be successful and thankfully we seemed to have found the right links."

The team at Anaconda are certainly not newcomers to the industry, using many years of combined experience working for some of the world's leading crushing and screening organisations to good effect. Although the company started in 2005 as a sub contractor, it wasn't until April 2009 that they started introducing their own range of equipment. The crisis could in theory have been the best thing to have happened in Anaconda's story as it forced them to think very differently about how the business could survive. Mr Gallagher comments on the early stages in the business:
"When we looked at how the sub contract business was evaporating we had to take a different view on what was needed to survive initially. The range of conveyors was already out there being sold in the USA under the Anaconda name so we have started to move away from the sub contract business but we now had to escalate the pace at which new products were coming through. The other big challenge was finding distributors as, from experience elsewhere, this is the best model for marketing and selling our type of equipment around the world. The first 18 months were the most difficult but after launching the DF410 scalping screen things started to move faster. The screener proved a tremendous success with high performance, quality and competitive pricing all playing a part in that success. "

Anaconda's next phase promises further new products and potential growth. There are still many markets unexplored and markets that will come out of the global downturn wanting what Anaconda have to offer. With promise of yet further product launches this year, Anaconda certainly is an exciting company to watch!
