New Holland Construction showcases new equipment and Tier 4 interim solution at Samoter Show

New Holland Construction launches nine new models at Samoter 2011, updating and expanding its dedicated offering for the Quarry, Road building, Municipality and Residential industries. The brand is also introducing its Tier 4 interim solutions with the new crawler excavators and wheel loaders on show. New Holland Construction is showcasing its offering in a joint exhibition area with its sister brands of the newly created Fiat Industrial powerhouse — Iveco, FPT Industrial and Astra.

New Holland Construction's Tier 4 interim solution: more productivity, more fuel economy, lower emissions

The new C-series crawler excavator and wheel loader models on show feature New Holland's Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) solution to meet Tier 4 interim emissions requirements. This technology, developed by FPT Industrial, is an after-treatment system, which breaks down the NOx into Nitrogen and water through a chemical reaction with a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), marketed in Europe under the AdBlue® registered name. The new technology is easy to use: the DEF tank only needs to be refilled every 4th or 5th fuel tank refill, and AdBlue® will be readily available at all New Holland dealerships. This solution reduces fuel consumption and allows the engine to do what it does best — generate power. The New Holland stand features an engine fitted with an SCR system, giving the visitors the opportunity to learn more about this pathbreaking technology.

New Wheel Loaders: more choice, more power, less fuel

With the C Series, New Holland expands and upgrades its wheel loader offering. The three models of the C Series present at the exhibition — W170C, W190C and W230C — introduce a host of new features, in addition to the Tier 4 interim technology, that result in bigger payloads, faster cycle times and a reduction in fuel consumption by up to 10%. With the W230C, New Holland also introduces a new model in the 20-ton class. The W230C offers more net horsepower, greater tipping load weight and bucket breakout force to meet the needs of high production truck loading applications. Visitors to the exhibition can see the new W230C in action in the Demo Area located in the Samoter external area E (in conjunction with Iveco).

New Crawler Excavators: more productivity, fuel economy, comfort, safety and reliability

The C Series crawler excavators introduce a new high efficiency hydraulic system, which together with the new engines and SCR technology, deliver a 10% increase in productivity in terms of cubic meters per hour and up to 10% lower fuel consumption in ECO mode compared to the B Series. Visitors to the stand can appreciate the exceptional comfort and safety features of the new EVO Cab on the E265C and E305C, equipped with new joystick controls, all-round visibility, rear view camera and ROPS/FOPS protection. They can also experience the low noise and vibration levels of the E305C that will be present in the New Holland Demo Area.

Backhoe Loaders built around the customer

Imagine a Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) that reduces your fuel consumption by 10% and dramatically increases your productivity. This is now possible thanks to the new TLB range by New Holland Construction. The new TLBs are equipped with a highly reactive, standard variable volume hydraulic pump. When not used, the pump goes in rest mode and thus saves 10% of the fuel.

With the B110B and B115B shown at Samoter and equipped with 110hp engines, productivity is boosted by a 20% bigger front bucket, perfectly self-levelling thanks to the Tool Carrier. Grip is provided in any conditions by wider 20" tires. The front bucket remains full when travelling at high speed, thanks to the standard Glide Ride device that eliminates arm bouncing while moving. Even in narrow jobsites, it is possible to shift the backhoe from one side to the other with the hydraulically controlled EasyShift.

New Skid Steer Loaders: a multi-task master with leading performances

Visitors to the stand will immediately notice the new design of the boom, which further increases the excellent visibility that New Holland skid steer loaders offer. The L213 and L218 on show bristle with features that will improve the operator's comfort and effectiveness. Electronic and hydraulic controls are now together on the joystick, giving the operators full control of the attachment at their fingertips. The Connect Under Pressure feature makes it very easy to change attachments. New Holland's patented vertical lift Super Boom® design delivers best-in-class forward dump height and reach. Industry leading bucket breakout force, maximum reach and dump angle provide fast cycle times and increase productivity.

Working for a sustainable built environment

New Holland's stand at the Samoter exhibition (Hall 2), where a maximum of recycled and recyclable materials have been used, reflects the brand's care for minimizing its equipment's impact on the environment. New Holland has a track record in designing equipment delivering emissions levels well below regulatory requirements and introducing innovations such as the patented InDR (Integrated noise and dust reduction) system, which minimizes noise pollution. This focus on sustainable construction aligns New Holland with the theme of this year's edition of the Samoter show, "a touch of respect".
