WCL quarries invests in new Terex Finlay J-1170

New investment at WCL Quarries...

WCL Quarries is continuing to invest in its fleet to meet increased demand for its aggregate waste and recycling services.

The company purchased a Terex Finlay J-1170 to replace a J-1160, for greater productivity at Ketley Quarry, one of the company’s three sites.

Mark Deadman, Director of WCL Quarries, said: “At WCL Quarries we are continuously upgrading and investing in new equipment in order to meet our customer’s demands for more quality aggregates at sensible costs.

“Our latest purchase is one of nine Terex Finlay machines we have bought to assist with faster processing, as part of our growing business.”

Consuming only 23 litres of diesel an hour compared to previous crushers that used 28 litres an hour, the J-1170 increases fuel efficiency, helping WCL Quarries to reduce its carbon footprint.

The J-1170 crusher feeds through a Terex Finlay 683 Supertrak, to split quarried material into 3 products for different applications.

Specified with a range of bespoke features, the J-1170 has been fitted with additional guarding to help with safety on site, an extended telescopic side conveyor, as well as radio remote control.
