Chepstow Plant (International) Ltd continues its significant investment in Volvo Construction Equipment products

Having purchased significant volumes of Volvo excavators, articulated haulers and loading shovels numbering 50 in all during 2010, Chepstow Plant (International) Ltd, continues its investment with orders placed for a further 40 units in 2011.

The Blue Chip contractors who specialize in high production projects in the U.K. and abroad, are also the first to have taken delivery of two Perlini DP405 rigid dumptrucks since Volvo Construction Equipment Division became official dealers for the Perlini range of rigid haulers last June. The majority of machines for 2011 consist of Volvo A25F and A40F articulated haulers with a mix of shovels and excavators ranging from EW160C (sixteen tonnes) to the latest EC380D (thirty eight tonnes), the package being both a replacement programme as well as an increment to the CPI fleet of equipment.

“Our business has become synonymous in operating quality products for the projects we undertake where high production capacity and high availability is called for,” says Managing Director John Corcoran.
“In our opinion, continuing to opt for models from the Volvo range supports a sound business partnership between us, our clients and our supplier.”

To provide added value to CPI’s customer base all Volvo supplied products are equipped with CareTrack telematics utilising the latest technology in machine management. CareTrack provides operational data remotely via the internet, including fuel consumption and idle time, all helping to reduce cost of ownership and maximise utilisation. Furthermore all the Volvo equipment supplied to CPI during 2010 and for 2011 is covered under a Volvo Blue Customer Support Agreement.
“Tapping into this resource has proved to be a sound business decision,” continues Mr Corcoran.
“By investing in support agreements for our fleet we are able to pass on the full benefit of Volvo’s integrated management system, associated accreditations and core values to our own customers whilst at the same time, sensibly deploy our own in-house resources for specific targeted achievements, maximize our uptime and ensure our sustainability and profitability,” he said.

Chepstow Plant (International) Ltd is based at Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouthshire and specializes in long term contracts with operated and non operated plant and runs a significant fleet of predominantly branded Volvo equipment.
