Finlay Group Seals Landmark Deal At Start of Hillhead

Finlay Group kicked-off the start of Hillhead with the sale of a new Terex Finlay 873 to Peter Bennie.

Robert Jackson, Director of the Kettering-based company, shook hands on the deal on the first day of the Buxton show with Russell Robinson, Sales Engineer at Finlay Plant Southern.

This is the tenth Terex Finlay machine supplied by Finlay Plant Southern, which is part of the Finlay Group of companies, to Peter Bennie.

The new machine will work at Peter Bennie’s quarries across Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire and also process construction and demolition waste.

This versatility sums up the qualities of the Terex Finlay 873, which was launched into the marketplace 12 months ago.

It comes complete with a 300mm chassis extension, 12'x5' screenbox top deck fitted with 75mm punch plate and a 12'x5' screenbox bottom deck fitted with 20mm self-cleaning mesh.
As well as construction and demolition material, the plant is also ideally suited to work in aggregates, sand and gravel, top soil and recycling applications.

It can be fed by either a tracked mobile crusher, shovel or excavator and has the capacity to process materials at a rate of up to 450 tonnes per hour.

Speaking at Hillhead, Robert Jackson said: “The Terex Finlay 873 is among the most versatile and adaptable machines on the market.

“It will be used at several of our locations, in both quarrying and recycling environments.”

Part of the Bennie Group, Peter Bennie is a leading independent quarrying and minerals producer, supplying a vast range of essential construction products to the industry, with a focus on quality, service and consideration.

Russell Robinson said: “We are delighted to secure this deal at Hillhead.

“The Terex Finlay 873 is renowned for its mobility and accessibility, which can be achieved without compromising on productivity.

“For its size it packs a powerful punch, delivering high performance on a small footprint.”
