Manitou UK is pleased to be reaching a significant milestone with the celebration of 40 years of trading in 2012.
The wholly owned subsidiary of the French group was the first export company formed by Manitou in 1972 under the name of Manitou Site Lift and helped to revolutionize materials handling in the UK and Ireland, embracing the intrinsic core values of the Manitou Group.
Leadership: First in construction with Rough Terrain Forklifts, then in the agricultural market sector, Manitou UK was over the next decades at the forefront of materials handling solutions, embracing the telescopic loader concept with an impressive range of telehandlers from compact models to high lift rotary models.
Manitou UK was the first Manitou subsidiary to introduce a dedicated finance division with the creation of Manitou Finance in 1999, subsequently millions of pounds of asset finance business has been written providing flexible solutions for Manitou customers.
