Liebherr at Vertikal Days 2012

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd is exhibiting an exciting line-up of cranes at Vertikal Days 2012 on Stands 154 and 155. A model from the construction crane range will be displayed, together with several brand new all-terrain LTM mobile cranes and an LTC Compact Crane, all of which have been sold and will be displayed in customers' liveries. On demonstration will be a new telescopic boom crawler crane, also sold to a long-standing customer. The highly successful CPCS accredited Training School will have an information desk on the stand as usual.

The MK 88 Construction Crane
Liebherr is enjoying continued success with their range of MK Construction Cranes cranes and, on the stand at Vertikal Days, the company is displaying the MK 88 – the strongest and biggest crane in it's class. This fast erecting construction crane is mounted on to a four axle mobile crane carrier (8X6X8) with self-levelling outriggers and an innovative steering concept which allows five different travel programmes to be actuated at the touch of a button – "Road", "Minimum turning circle", "Diagonal travel", "Reduced swing-out" and "Independent rear-axle steering". The MK 88 has an under hook height of 30.20 metres in standard configuration and this can be increased by elevating the jib by 15°, 30° and 45° to provide an optimum 59.10 metres under the hook. Maximum lift capacity is 8 tonnes and 2.05 tonnes at 45 metres radius.

Mobile Cranes
The first LTC 1045-3.1 Compact Crane sold in England has been purchased by County Lifting of Kettering and is on show in the company's distinctive livery. The three-axle LTC 1045-3.1 has a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tonnes and provides the excellent travel characteristics of traditional all-terrain cranes and, because of its compact design, is also ideal for working in very confined spaces, such as factory interiors.
Dewsbury and Proud purchased their first Liebherr mobile crane at the end of last year. Since then, they have clearly joined the long list of satisfied Liebherr customers, adding a further two models to the growing fleet and their latest acquisition, a 50 tonnes capacity LTM 1050-3.1, will be on display.

Select Plant Hire has been a Liebherr customer for many years and, earlier this year, added a 60 tonnes and 100 tonnes capacity LTR 1060 and LTR 1100 telescopic boom crawler crane to their fleet, joining Liebherr LR type crawler lift cranes and HS duty cycle crawler cranes, with capacities ranging from 65-160 tonnes. Select Plant Hire has now purchased their very first Liebherr mobile crane, a four-axle, 90 tonnes capacity LTM 1090-4.1 and this will be displayed on the Liebherr stand at Vertikal Days.

Another long-standing Liebherr customer is Emerson Crane Hire of Dagenham. On display will be their latest investment, a 200 tonnes capacity LTM 1200-5.1 which comes with very high specifications, including GSM module technology and LICCON 2 crane control system with BTT-Bluetooth function, featuring full remote control of all superstructure functions.

John Sutch Cranes runs heavy lift and all-terrain Liebherr cranes from the company's Liverpool and Manchester depots. Their recent fleet addition is a 250 tonnes capacity LTM 1250-6.1 and John Sutch has kindly agreed to display this at Vertikal Days, the largest crane on the Liebherr stand.

On Demonstration
Demonstrating at this year's event is the latest addition to the huge Weldex fleet of Liebherr heavy lifters. The 100 tonnes capacity LTR 1100 telescopic boom crawler crane will be put through its paces on the proving ground next to Liebherr's static display area, completing an impressive and diverse showing for Liebherr at Vertikal Days this year.

Training School
As usual, the company's highly successful CPCS accredited Training School will have an information desk with details of their wide selection of statutory and bespoke courses. Instructors will be on hand to discuss visitors' training requirements.
