WEIGHBRIDGE OPEN SOFTWARE SYSTEM OFFERS INCREASED FLEXIBILITY
Avery Weigh-Tronix has introduced an updated version of its weighbridge software MI Payload 2.0, a comprehensive set of software applications for distribution, transportation and supply chain management.
The updated software, which has been designed to run on the latest Windows operating system, offers users increased functionality. Able to link to both new and exiting weighbridge installations, MI payload 2.0 enables customers to identify and weigh vehicles and trailers, manage customer and supplier contacts and invoice and receive payments.
The software is easily configured to simplify user input for each stage of the process; offering touch screen capabilities and card/tag readers for driver operation as well as physical keyboard/mouse data entry for use within weighbridge offices.
Says Paul Lloyd, global software solutions manager at Avery Weigh-Tronix: "MI Payload has established a reputation for its ease of use. We recognised that users needs vary from business to business and have adapted the software to enable it to support extensive preference options - while still being simple to operate - so that businesses can set precise parameters to suit their requirements."
The software has been designed to utilise Microsoft's SQL 2008 and is compatible with Windows 7, as well as XP and Vista, bringing it into line with the latest technology. The updated software is scalable so that it can be installed on a single PC linked to one weighbridge, or be interfaced with multiple scales and integrated within complex IT network systems.
Avery Weigh-Tronix has a long history of providing precise, reliable and robust weighing equipment and support services to businesses around the globe. The company's Class A CMMI Certification in software development demonstrates their commitment to ongoing investment in the technology demanded by today's marketplace, putting Avery Weigh Tronix software development at the same level of compliance as parts of organizations such as Accenture, Boeing, Fujitsu, HP, Hitachi, IBM and SAP.
