Morris Site Machinery shines the light on innovation

Morris Site Machinery will be lighting the way at the Bauma international trade show (11th – 17th April 2016) and will showcase two of its most innovative lighting towers to date, including the SMC TL-90 LED and the newest model in the range, the extra low voltage SMC TL-90 DC-ELV.

Developed and built in the UK ten years ago, the original SMC TL-90 lighting tower was launched to market as one of the most compact models and one of the very first to incorporate an Advanced Safety System as standard. Today, it has developed into a range which reflects the growing demands of each of the industries it serves, with the LED and DC-ELV models in particular set to truly revolutionise the hire and construction sector.

“Over the past decade, the SMC TL-90 has continually evolved to meet ever-changing client demands, and we are thrilled to be showcasing two of our hero models at Bauma in April,” explained Managing Director of Morris Site Machinery, Phil Winnington.

“By bringing together pioneering technology, innovation and engineering expertise, we’re able to continually design and build a portfolio of world-class products that not only deliver a first-rate and reliable performance, but ensure our customers receive quality service and expertise."

Stepping into the spotlight at the show will be the new compact and easy-to-transport SMC TL-90 DC-ELV. One of the most efficient extra low voltage lighting towers available on the world market, the tower features four 300W powerful LED lamp heads offering directional, clear and crisp light. Combined with its high performance Perkins engine, the SMC TL-90 ELV is super silent, offers up to 165 hours of uninterrupted operation, and is already proving popular across the construction sector with interest from hirers in Australia and in the UK. Advanced safety features on the model include automatic mast descent when the handbrake is deployed, fully bunded fuel tanks, central lifting eye, secure fixed points from ground level, and emergency stop.

Also being showcased at the show will be the TL-90 LED – an energy efficient, quality lighting tower which has become known for its quality of light and super silent operation. Replacing traditional metal halide lamps with LEDs, the model uses 50% less fuel than a standard tower light. What’s more, when the TL-90 LED is linked, it can offer a further 80% CO2 reduction and run for over 400 running hours.

“I’d encourage those interested in finding out more about the SMC TL-90 DC-ELV and the SMC TL-90 LED to visit us on stand 227/K in Hall B5 at Bauma show. Alternatively, please call 0845 409 0282 or visit www.morrismachinery.co.uk,” concluded Phil.
