Highways England Construction Plant Community latest organisation to commit to Plantworx.

Highways England - Construction Plant Community is supporting its construction plant supply chain partners at Plantworx Construction Machinery exhibition (6th – 8th June Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground Leicestershire) and will be focusing on promoting careers in the construction sector.

The organisation’s stand will consist of static and working equipment with the opportunity for new plant operators to take part in skills tests on a range of machinery.

The stand will be supported by three of the well-established plant hire companies: Flannery; Lynch; and Hawk Plant, which will be providing equipment and will also be actively recruiting apprentices, trainees and operators to work on projects throughout the UK.

Other companies will also be supporting this initiative. The collaborative community has been working together for four years and are working together to further improve safety, capability and efficiency.

Paul Whitehead who leads Highways England’s Plant Community Group said: "Growing our own talent will play a vital part in shaping Highways England and developing a high performing organisation. As a Government Company with capital funding certainty over five years, our supply chain has the confidence to invest in the people to make them capable of delivering what is a huge amount of work."

Plantworx, hosted by the CEA (Construction Equipment Association), has more than 365 exhibitors signed up for the ‘all action’ event and of these over 145 exhibitors will be making their show debut.

In terms of size and exhibitor numbers the 2017 show has exceeded the 2015 exhibition event and the Plantworx team is expecting the show to be a ‘sell out’ - making this event the hottest ticket in town and a spectacular action packed 3-days!

Spanning 140,000 sq mtrs, visitors to the show can see machines and tools being put through their paces on one of the many demonstration areas around the show.

A full exhibitor list can be found on the Plantworx website. Register now for your free entry tickets to the show – miss it you’ll be missing out! http://www.plantworx.co.uk/visit/register-for-your-ticket/
