Longcliffe appoints new Finance Director

Leading calcium carbonates company Longcliffe Quarries Ltd has welcomed Nelson Gonzalez as its new Finance Director.

Nelson joins the company board and replaces retiring Ian Gorbould who led the finance team of the £50m turnover business for 14 years. The new FD brings over 23 years’ finance experience to Longcliffe – gained in roles across a range of industries including healthcare and legal.

Longcliffe Group Managing Director Paul Boustead says: “This is an exciting time for Nelson to join our business. We continue to make significant investments in best-in-class technology to improve the efficiency and sustainability of our process; and we are about to move into a new extension of our Brassington Moor Quarry. We look forward to working with Nelson and to him becoming part of our ongoing - almost 100-years old - success story.”
