Building on recent growth and our appointment as distributor for Metso:Outotec mobile crushing & screening equipment in England, Scotland & Wales, McHale Plant Sales has exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Area Sales Managers to join our team. Operating from our new UK depot, at Tamworth, Staffordshire, we are looking for team players with a good knowledge of the UK aggregates, quarrying and recycling sectors with the ability to deliver on agreed sales targets of Metso:Outotec mobile crushing & screening equipment within the assigned territories.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivering on the annual sales plan of mobile crushing & screening products by targeting existing and prospective customers of Metso:Outotec mobile equipment within your assigned territory.
Generating a pipeline of sales opportunities by maintaining a high level of customer engagement and activity.
Building & maintaining relationships by engaging with customers in a positive and professional manner.
Completing tender documentation and preparing quotations to a high standard.
Utilising the company CRM system to manage your schedule and activity and to record customer interactions and opportunities.
You will be expected to:
Work off your own initiative and develop your individual sales plan, targeting prospective and existing customers.
Ensure the agreed sales plan and other targets are delivered upon.
Engage professionally and positively with customers up to director/owner level.
Contribute to reporting and forecasts of sales activity against plan.
Take advantage of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills of Metso:Outotec products and services.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 5 years’ experience and a proven track record of success selling equipment in any or all of the construction, quarrying, aggregates and recycling sectors.
Established contacts with independents, majors and contractors in the UK aggregates industry.
A good technical knowledge of crushing & screening equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written, and people skills.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
A strong focus on providing the best customer service experience with an attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines by planning and managing your time and travel efficiently.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to work calmly under pressure.
Confidence to represent McHale Plant Sales and promote Metso:Outotec products with passion, enthusiasm and professionalism.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Enthusiasm and desire for ongoing training to further develop your knowledge and skills.
A good knowledge of quarrying and aggregates industry practice and health & safety regulations.
