Bell Equipment adds weight to its European operation

Bell Equipment has appointed Marc Schürmann as its new director of European operations in a move designed to provide a greater cohesion of service and supply across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East and to accommodate the needs of Bell's growing customer base in the region.

This new role represents the "next stage" in the consolidation of Bell's European operations following the creation last year of a European council of Bell managing directors.

Schürmann, who is based in Germany, has overall responsibility for production at the European assembly plant in Eisenach, Germany. He is also responsible for sales and marketing, after sales support and parts in the European region.

Marc said: "The strategic intent of Bell Equipment's European operations is to increase our market share, to extend our market into new developing countries in the Middle East, Northern Africa and Eastern Europe and to convert current market share in our existing markets.

"We plan to enter new markets by building partnerships with dealerships that match the Bell business ethic and product profile. This is the same route we followed in mainland Europe and it has worked well for us."
