Hassell delivers Sennebogen Cranes to Weldex.

- Materials Handling
Weldex have always believed in providing the correct crane for their clients' specific requirements, and as such continue to invest in the latest technology available, resulting in a large modern fleet.
Recently the company invested in four Sennebogen machines which comprised of two of the newly launched 40 tonne 643R telescopic crawler and two 80 tonne 683HD telescopic crawler machines. All four machines were delivered to their Alfreton, Derbyshire depot where the companies main hire fleet is stabled; there they will be deployed on various hire duties for Weldex clients throughout the UK.
Both the Sennebogen 643R and the 683HD models are the very first to be sold in the UK, the 643R superceding the 40 tonne 630RHD which Weldex had purchased some five years previously.
The 643R reflects a new dimension in lifting, providing a strong, dynamic swing drive for fast working cycles this compact and efficient telescopic crane can be put to optimum use in very confined work spaces - whether on construction site, in tunnelling, on tight inner city job sites or industrial premises.
With a full powered, hydraulically extendable 4-section telescopic main boom length of 30 metres it features a folding type fly jib of 6.5 -13 metres.
Weighing in at 36.5 tonnes the 643R is powered by a 135 kW Deutz engine, with the operator residing in the latest MAXI type operators cabin.
The Sennebogen 683HD also supplied is a robust, very service friendly design. With a lifting capacity of 80 tonnes it features a state-of-the-art load sensing hydraulic system with 5-section telescopic boom and a folding type fly jib of 10 - 17 metres. Powered by a 200Kw Deutz engine the machine features an F2000 type cab.
Dougie McGilvray, MD of Weldex, commented," We originally purchased a Sennebogen machine some five years previously which we were delighted with.
Our latest investment in four new Sennebogen machines has been an obvious step forward which has added strength in depth to our fleet"
