Stevin Rock UAE with Terex Pegson & Powerscreen International

Stevin Rock UAE with Terex Pegson & Powerscreen International
Stevin Rock is the leading aggregate company in the Gulf region producing in excess of 30million tonne per annum, with the majority of the major building projects in the region being supplied. These projects range from the innovative luxury islands off Dubai - Palm Jumeirah and the World Island to the futuristic international airport at Doha, Qatar.

The booming economy in the region has resulted in an increased demand for aggregates meeting the exacting quality standards. To meet this increased demand with the least amount of lead time, the solution was to commission a new mobile crushing train utilising Terex Pegson & Powerscreen expertise.  For this Stevin Rock turned to Genavco, the Terex Pegson and Powerscreen Dealer for the UAE area. Within one month the equipment was supplied, commissioned and producing saleable material. The crushing and screening chain includes a Terex Pegson 1100x800 Premiertrak jaw crusher, a Terex Pegson 1300 Maxtrak cone crusher and a Powerscreen Chieftain 2400.

Doug Ross, Operations Manager at Stevin Rock said, "The increase in production has resulted in an improved supply to our important clients and the financial benefits of long term contracts due to the consistant ability of Stevin Rock to meet the customers quality requirements and delivery schedules."

The drawing shows the layout of this crushing and screening chain.  The gabro stone is first fed to the Terex Pegson 1100x800 Premiertrak. This primary jaw crusher feeds the Terex Pegson 1300 Maxtrak which feeds the triple deck loading screen. This re-circulates the oversize (32mm+) back to the Terex Pegson 1300 Maxtrak and removes the fines of 0-3mm. The 3-32mm aggregate is then fed to the vertical shaft impactor which shapes the stone before screening it in the Powerscreen Chieftain 2400. This mobile screen has 3 decks with 20mm, 10mm and 5mm screen media.  The oversize is re-circulated back to the VSI.  This produces 3 end products: 0-5mm dry sand, 5-10mm for asphalt/ concrete production and 10-20mm for asphalt/ concrete production.

With the satisfactory performance of the new crushing & screening train, Stevin Rock has purchased further equipment to increase the production capacity of the original equipment supplied.
