A loada loaders for John Hanlon & Co Ltd

- 16th October 2007
- Materials Handling
This significant order is part of John Hanlon's replacement programme of a mix of three to four year old wheeled loaders of different manufacture and will be made up of models from the recently introduced F series loader range. Out of Hanlon's total hire fleet approaching 200 units, 60% of their wheeled loaders will carry the Volvo brand. "The brand name is important to our business but equally we find there is a high level of acceptability from sites when the Volvo product is hired in," says Company Director Matthew Hanlon. "It's also about people and relationships and we have enjoyed a sound relationship with Volvo over the past 30 years," he continues.
Much of that relationship has been built on providing a strong after sales support service and since John Hanlon has hire contracts spread the length and breadth of Great Britain, the ability to tap into Volvo's support network is vital. "We have our own team of sixteen workshop based and six fully equipped mobile engineers and a mobile workshop," comments Robert Hanlon. "But when we need help in the field we can rely on Volvo to be on hand inside a working shift and that level of support means a great deal to us."
The mix of loading shovels being delivered and on order range between the Volvo L70F and L150F models and will be deployed in all manner of material handling applications including coal handling, waste, aggregates and other rehandling duties for both medium to long term existing hire contracts as well as being made available for spot hires.
The all new F series Volvo wheeled loaders launched earlier this year feature Tier III compliant engines, new transmissions and an all new operator's compartment. With load sensing hydraulics, efficient combustion and first class operator comfort these new models are the most modern up to date general purpose wheeled loaders on the market.
