Blue Machinery at RWM 2007

Blue Machinery at RWM 2007
Waste treatment, recycling and materials handling equipment specialist, Blue Machinery Plc, is exhibiting at the RWM Show again on outside Stand Number N412 and also inside the hall on Stand Number 316. Outside, Blue Machinery will be demonstrating two Doppstadt machines, for which the company is an approved distributor, processing woodwaste to specification for biomass fuel production. The interior stand will provide exhibition visitors with complete details of all the various Blue Machinery distributorships and also concentrate on the after sales product support from sister company Spares UK.

Blue Machinery offers the recycling, waste management industries, local authority waste treatment plants and transfer stations a wide range of shredding, composting, screening, crushing and conveying equipment for the efficient and cost-effective processing of inert and green waste. In addition to Doppstadt chippers and shredders, Blue Machinery's portfolio of distributorships also includes Backhus compost and soil turning machinery, General Kinematics finger screens and destoners, Kiverco trommels and recycling plants, Powerscreen screening, washing and recycling equipment, Telestack static, mobile and telescopic conveyors and TEREX Pegson mobile crushing plants.

The Doppstadt DW-2560 - On Demonstration
The Doppstadt DW-2560 is specifically designed and constructed for high volume shredding of domestic and industrial, green, mixed C&D and wood waste materials for the production of quality biomass fuel and material for composting.

The Doppstadt DW-2560 is a low-speed, single shaft high torque shredder with an hydraulically controlled shredding comb. The 3.35m long, 1m wide discharge conveyor runs at a speed of 2.3m/second and the 600mm diameter 2,500mm long roller is equipped with wear-resistant teeth which tear the material through the hydraulically controlled comb which opens automatically to accommodate large tramp materials, thereby protecting the machine and reducing tool wear.  Easily replaced comb elements are highly accessible from outside the machine and there is a veritable armoury of quick-change tools to suit specific shredding tasks.

Power is provided by a 290kW Daimler Chrysler engine, type OM 501 LA, which has a high torque performance producing low noise and exhaust emissions, whilst returning excellent fuel consumption figures. The transmission is via direct drive and planetary gear for optimum efficiency. The separate motor housing is conveniently located away from the shredding area and on the front of the plant. All controls are incorporated in one centralised control panel and are simple to use, featuring multifunction display.  Remote control is an optional extra.

The Doppstadt AK-430 - On Demonstration
The Doppstadt AK-430 is arguably one of the best selling high-speed shredders of its type and numerous wheeled and crawler-mounted versions are at work throughout the UK on a variety of tasks from green waste processing for composting, woodwaste treatment for biomass fuels and so-on - often in tandem with other compatible processors such as pre-shredders and screeners.

Featuring a high throughput and a patented load-sensing feeding system, the AK-430 has a heavy grating mass, a flail drum which rotates at 1,000rpm and free-swinging flail holders with replaceable tips. The quick and easy to replace shredding system is unique and the final sizing basket can be changed in less than 15 minutes for true versatility in grain sizing.

A powerful yet economical Daimler Chrysler OM 457 LA diesel engine produces 315kW at 2,000RPM and an optional electric motor is available if required. An hydraulically folding discharge conveyor (4m long X 1.8m wide) has a belt speed of 2.25m per second and a discharge height of 3 metres for optimum stockpiling. Amongst the many optional extras available is a remote control, allowing the feeder machine operator to activate the shredder from the control cab of the loader or materials handler.

Blue Machinery is widely experienced in providing a turnkey service for the design, installation and commissioning of RDF and biomass plants based on Doppstadt equipment
