New Site Solutions from Miller UK

The 35 tonne bucket unveiled by Miller UK to great acclaim at the Hillhead exhibition will soon be on its way to a new home at an open-cut coal mine in Spain.

Miller UK, the market leading manufacturer of buckets and quick couplers for the construction, mining and quarrying industries, made a weighty impact on the show with the EX5500 bucket, which is part of a large order for Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe.

The EX5500 formed the centrepiece of the North East company's stand at the show and formed a dramatic backdrop to the launch of Miller's new Site Solutions division.

The specialist division will offer a range of products and services that are designed to improve machine performance and site productivity.

It will provide bucket repair and refurbishment, custom built solutions, coupler safety inspections, UK dealer and end user sales and replacement part sales.

Lee Palmer, Business Manager of Miller Site Solutions, said: "Site Solutions is based on years of experience providing safe, reliable and productive custom built solutions but now we're taking that expertise directly to the customer.

"We are renowned for working with our customers to find solutions to meet their specific needs and to help them improve their business. It might be a short term problem to solve, such as a bucket repair, or a longer term solution such as analysing the needs of a business and formulating a strategy to increase productivity."

The Site Solutions division builds on the heritage of Miller UK, which started in Newcastle in 1978 as a mobile welding service offering on-site repairs.

Site Solutions draws on that expertise and combines it with our reputation for design innovation to meet the needs of modern businesses."

Repair and refurbishment enhances the life of a bucket or attachment at around 60 per cent of the cost of a new replacement (subject to condition).

Site Solutions will offer 24 hours a day, seven days a week service from its purpose built repair facility, with nationwide collection and delivery (UK only, size restrictions apply under extreme circumstances), a loan bucket (subject to stock) and a 48-hour turnaround service to keep downtime to a minimum.
