Blue Machinery Scotland takes on Terex® Pegson Distributorship

Blue Machinery Scotland takes on Terex® Pegson Distributorship
Blue Machinery Plc is a specialist provider of materials processing equipment for the aggregate extraction, waste, recycling, composting and ship loading industries in England, Scotland and Wales. Blue Machinery (Scotland) Ltd has added to their impressive dealership with Terex® Pegson mobile crushers. Terex® Pegson is the world's largest producer of track mounted crushers offering fully mobile vertical and horizontal impactors, jaws and cones.

Blue Machinery Scotland has been serving the Scottish and North-East English area with Powerscreen® mobile screens for almost a decade.  The addition of Terex® Pegson mobile crushers enhances the team's portfolio and they forecast turnover to grow from £10million to £25million in the next three years.

As part of the UK-wide Blue Machinery Group, Blue Machinery Scotland covers North Yorkshire, Durham, Teeside, Cleveland, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Cumbria and Scotland including the Highlands & Islands.

With vast experience in the crushing & screening industries Blue Machinery Scotland have a long established team of four sales staff and eight aftersales staff.  The aftersales network comprises fully trained and highly experienced field service engineers and parts specialists, with a fully stocked parts store on site.

Together Powerscreen® and Terex® Pegson are the global leaders in mobile crushing & screening, Blue Machinery Scotland now offer the full range of crushing & screening products to suit every size of application.  This includes the new machines launched at Bauma and Hillhead.

New Machines
The H5163 has now been added to the Powerscreen® H Range to cater for projects and contracts that do not require the massive out-put tonnage of the Powerscreen® H6203. The H5163 can produce material up to 600tph, compared to the H6203 which can produce materials up to 800tph (depending on application). This makes it a more cost-effective purchase for the smaller projects whilst still providing all the advantages of the Powerscreen® H6203. The advantages include being a good scalping unit, as well as giving large production of high specification products for use in concrete and road building and paving.

The Powerscreen® H Range has also been designed to work in crushing set-ups which require a closed loop system for primary, secondary and tertiary crushing processes with the objective of achieving high tonnages of fine sized product which meet strict specifications.

The new Powerscreen® Chieftain 1700 has been added to the globally successful Chieftain Range. The Chieftain 1700 has been developed as a highly mobile 2 & 3 deck model giving up to 6 product separation.  This model has been specifically designed to fit into the mid range bracket between the Chieftain 1400 and the Chieftain 2100.  The screen at Hillhead was a rinser version of the Chieftain 1700, meaning it can also wash aggregate.

The new Chieftain 2100X is an upgraded version of the Chieftain 2100 with an increased screen angle of up to 30o, available as a 2 and 3 Deck and has an increased screen area of 14% on the bottom deck pushing the screening capability much higher than the Chieftain 2100.

The latest development from the engineers at Terex® Pegson features the well-proven XV350 vertical shaft impactor. This is driven from the 438HP Caterpillar C13 engine via a self adjusting HFO clutch with a wedge belt drive through a countershaft assembly. The VSI is fitted with a shoe and anvil arrangement, which is interchangeable with a variety of other configurations depending on the requirements of the application.

Blue Machinery Scotland Managing Director, Austin Carey, commented on the distributorship,

"Terex® Pegson is the perfect compliment to our existing business with Powerscreen®.  We are delighted to be associated with them.  These are exciting times for us as we've already completed a deal with WH Malcolm for four mobile crushers and one mobile screen and look forward to the future."
