Hazemag Sand Impactor at Hillhead 2007

The main attraction on the HAZEMAG stand will be an AP-VM 1010 hard rock tertiary impactor designed specifically for the production of mechanical sands from unwanted oversize.

AP-VM Impactors are horizontal shaft machines with a vertical inlet which ensures optimum comminution of even the smallest lumps of rock. The rotor is fitted with four blow bars which, in conjunction with a frequency converter, permit the mode of operation to be matched to the material feed size and properties - the AP-VM can handle feed material sizes up to 150mm. Additionally, impact aprons and grinding path crushing gaps are hydraulically adjusted and progressive abrasion of the wear parts can be compensated for by adjustment of the rotor tip speed and/or the crushing gaps.

With five variable parameters; speed, direction of rotation and three adjustable crushing gaps, Hazemag's AP-VM can guarantee a consistent product quality. As much as 98% minus 4mm material can be generated in a single pass.
