Brightlights, the Essex based national mobile tower lighting rental company has confirmed the purchase of a fleet of bespoke lighting towers from the leading manufacturer, TowerLight.
Brightlights is a member of the Eve group of companies, the UK's leading supplier of temporary access systems and related services, following its acquisition by Eve Trakway Limited in early 2012.
Brightlights and TowerLight engineers worked in close co-operation to develop the existing VB9 model into a dedicated product for their hire fleet named the BL1EVE. TowerLight and Brightlights recognised that environmental issues, particularly relating to fuel usage and transport costs, were beginning to predominate within the both the events and construction industries. Consequently, they combined their extensive experience to develop a lighting tower that addressed these pressing issues. Tests have proven that the BL1EVE will reduce fuel usage by a staggering 72% whilst continuing to ensure that the metal halide lighting output is not compromised and remains at the HSE recommended levels.
The BL1EVE incorporates a 170-litre capacity fuel tank with a running time between refuelling of 340 hours - an increase of a massive 435% when compared to a similar standard lighting set. Powered by a diesel engine with 12V electric start and fitted into a whisper quiet sound proof canopy, the BL1EVE incorporates easy access for maintenance with large lockable doors.
The BL1EVE brings together genuine environment qualities in terms of lower fuel consumption, reduced transport costs, whilst continuing to maintain safe and proper lighting. A site or event manager can now rely on only refuelling a BL1EVE once a month, resulting in fewer operators driving to or around a site on a frequent basis. TowerLight have calculated that this could reduce an operator costs for transportation of up to 25%, whilst the user could save £300 per month with lower fuel usage.
Commenting on this latest purchase, Neil Fenwick, Brightlights General Manager said, "Prior to placing this order, we held a series of meetings with TowerLight and at all times we were impressed with their knowledge of the lighting market, coupled with their flexibility to produce a lighting set that met with our exact requirements."
TowerLight's Ray Caulfield, was delighted to partner with Brightlights to produce this lighting unit commenting, "Brightlights and Eve are two of the most respected brands in the event and construction markets. We are proud that they have chosen our environmentally biased lighting products for their hire fleet and we are looking forward to working with them into the future,"
With depots nationwide, Brightlights rent out lighting towers throughout the United Kingdom. Founded in 1998, the company has a wealth of experience on a range of mobile lighting towers and can advise customers on the number of towers required to achieve the required amount of site illumination. Brightlights products are suitable for many applications including road works, construction, rail works, airports, entertainment events and security. In 2012, Brightlights became the mobile lighting division of Eve, the major supplier of temporary access systems, barriers, traffic management and similar services.
