Kevin, the CEMEX Olympic torch bearer

Kevin Murch, CEMEX UK Payroll and HR Systems Manager carried the Olympic flame in Rugby, home of one of CEMEX's cement plants. On the 45th day of the Olympic Torch relay, Kevin was one of 12 torch bearers to carry the flame through the town.
Kevin, 53 has worked for CEMEX for 35 years and was nominated to be a torch bearer by his daughter, Kerry.
He has been a member and coach of the Rugby and Northampton Athletics Club for over 30 years and is a keen javelin thrower having achieved a British Masters Record in the M50 age group.
In the coming days Kevin will be taking the torch into the CEMEX Office for friends and colleagues to have their photograph taken with it, for a contribution to charity. In addition, he will be taking the torch into three local schools.
