Berkshire Engineering Supplies Ltd would like to announce the recent appointment as the International representatives for the "RED DRYER " manufactured by Bernardi Impianti SpA. We are now responsible for all marketing and Commercial activities for the RED DRYER around the World.
In the past 2 years we have installed 3 of the revolutionary Red Dryers in the UK , and there are now over 60 in successful operation around Europe and we are currently in negotiation for several more around the world. The Red dryer is unique, as it will replace the existing dryer on a conventional asphalt plant and will allow for the direct introduction of up to 50% reclaimed asphalt without the need for any secondary, hoppers, conveyors or elevators, as the RAP can be introduced into the dryer along with the virgin aggregates directly from the existing cold feed system.
The Red Dryer's revolutionary drying system will dry the blend of RAP and virgin aggregates, so they can be passed across the screens and elevators without problematic blinding issues. The ability to screen the RAP will ensure mixed material specifications can be maintained according to British and European standards when containing high percentages of RAP.
The RED DRYER's patented internal combustor retains the flame and radiates heat to the materials, so the material does not come into contact with the flame, which ensures the bitumen contained within the RAP is fully recoverable and re-usable for re-use into new asphalt mixtures. The RED DRYERS revolutionary heating system aids combustion, reduces emissions and reduces fuel consumption, with savings of up to 20%. The RED DRYER is also fitted with inverter controlled, energy efficient drives, which offer significant power savings over conventional systems.
