TEREX Pegson and Powerscreen International at The Asia Mining Congress 2007

TEREX Pegson and Powerscreen International at The Asia Mining Congress 2007
TEREX Pegson and Powerscreen International are world leaders in the design and construction of what are probably the most comprehensive ranges of mobile and static crushing, screening, washing and recycling plants available today. Both companies are members of the worldwide and highly respected TEREX Group and products proudly carrying the TEREX Pegson and Powerscreen names are exported to over 100 countries. On a joint stand (Number 30 in the Magnolia/Vanda Suite on Level 3 of the Grand Hyatt Singapore Hotel), delegates will be able to see graphic and audiovisual displays of the two companies' innovative products at work in mining, quarrying and recycling applications.

Pegson crushing plants and Powerscreen screening equipment are highly compatible and often work in tandem - in mining, ore and mineral extraction and quarrying applications, on construction and demolition waste recycling tasks and in situations where mobile crushing, screening and stockpiling operations are used on major civil engineering projects. These two major forces in crushing and screening are focussing on the Asian market, where both companies have been developing and honing their dealership arrangements, increasing the customer-driven product selection and enhancing their already excellent reputations with successful sales drives in areas as diverse as iron ore processing and mineral extraction from open cast, quarrying and deep mining, primary and secondary aggregate processing, recycling and solid waste treatment.

New Equipment Launched
Both TEREX-Pegson and Powerscreen International have customer-driven research and development programmes and this refreshing approach to the market has resulted in a number of mobile plants being created to fulfil customer demands.

From TEREX Pegson, a number of new high-performance mobile crushing plants have recently been developed - many with innovative features based on site-proven engineering principles that have kept TEREX Pegson in the forefront of mobile crushing plant technology worldwide.

The 1000SR Combined Crushing & Screening Plant
The 1000SR mobile plant combines the high performance of the popular tracked 1000 Maxtrak crusher with a double deck sizing screen and a re-circulating system all on one single tracked chassis. This enables customers to take advantage of the well-known and site-proven benefits of the Automax cone crusher, which is now incorporated into a closed circuit screening plant, thereby eliminating the need for separate screening.

The 1412 Trakpactor
This track-mounted primary impactor from TEREX Pegson is simple to operate, easy to maintain and uncomplicated in design. Versatile enough to be equally at home in quarries or on recycling duties, the 1412 Trakpactor is packed with customer benefits, is highly fuel efficient, capable of huge reduction ratios and has an output capacity of up to 550 tonnes per hour.

The X400 Series
The X400 primary crusher series was launched by TEREX Pegson in early spring last year and is already well established as a highly productive, economical and versatile range of mobile crushing plants. These crushers have been designed to provide unsurpassed reliability, are simple to operate and have excellent under engine access for easy maintenance with a hydraulically tilting product conveyor. There are two versions available to suite customers' requirements - the XR400 with hydraulic release and the XA400 with hydraulic adjustment.

From Powerscreen International comes three new additions to the hugely successful Chieftain and Horizon ranges of heavy-duty mobile screening and stockpiling plants - new generation machines which are operator friendly, designed and built for a long active life in the efficient processing of mined and quarried products as well as recycling applications.

The Chieftain 1700
This new addition to the Chieftain range is available in 2- and 3-deck configurations and is track-mounted for site mobility and quick set-up times. Filling the gap between the Chieftain 1400 and the new Chieftain 2100X, this versatile flat-bed screener has an output potential of up to 500 tonnes per hour, depending on screen sizes and materials being processed.

The Chieftain 2100X
A high performance screening plant, this is the next generation development of the best-selling Chieftain 2100. Key improvements include increased screening area and screening angle, a new screen box drive mechanism, extended fines stockpiling capacity and a new power unit featuring a transverse engine arrangement for ease of access and serviceability. Oversize materials stockpiling is facilitated on the 3-deck version using a new patented fully mounted hydraulic folding auxiliary conveyor. Potential output on this new model is up to 600 tonnes per hour.

The Horizon 5163 and 6203
The growing Horizon range from Powerscreen International is augmented by two new additions. Featuring horizontal screens which are ideal for handling high volumes of sticky materials, the Horizon series produces exact fine sizing required for many construction projects. The Horizon range is specifically designed for screening, separating and stockpiling natural and crushed aggregate, coal, iron ore, overburden, recycled concrete and asphalt.

The adjustable, elliptical throw combines linear and circular amplitude, producing an aggressive screening action which is particularly effective for treating scalpings after crushing, with outstanding performance when screening out specific small sizes. Set-up time is, typically, one hour and these new screeners include four attached stockpiling conveyors giving four specific sizes of end-product.

The Powerscreen Warrior Range
Designed to handle heavier material than the Chieftain range, the Warrior 1400, 1800 and 1800 Radial will screen, 3-way split and stockpile a variety of materials in demanding and arduous applications. The choice of screen media makes the Warrior series a versatile range of mobile screening plants, which are especially effective in reclaiming saleable products from C&D waste, other recycling tasks and topsoil applications.

The TEREX Pegson and Powerscreen names are synonymous with crushing and screening innovation and engineering excellence and, working closely with their appointed dealers throughout Asia, both companies see continued growing success with their products in this buoyant marketplace, hence their joint presence at the Asia Mining Congress 2007.
