Demonstrating the company's strong commitment to the telescopic handler market, Bobcat is exhibiting for the first ever time at the Vertikal Days Exhibition, the UK and Ireland's fastest growing Lifting and Access event, which this year takes place at Haydock Park on Merseyside in the UK from 27-28 June 2012. Bobcat will be showing the company's new TR50210 rotary telescopic handler and high horsepower TL470HF telescopic handlers for the first time at the show.
Bobcat Rotary Telescopic Handlers
The rotating capability of the new range of Bobcat rotary telehandlers allows the machines to serve the needs of an entire site from just one position, meeting an increasing demand for this type of versatile telehandler. Capable of being set up in a matter of minutes, they offer exceptional stability for lifting heavy materials either vertically up to a roof or horizontally onto the edge of an excavated site, reducing construction time and costs and increasing safety and efficiency on site.
The new TR50210 model offers 360o rotation, with a maximum lifting capacity of 5000 kg and a maximum lifting height on stabilisers of 20.5 m. It is one of four rotary telescopic handlers now available from Bobcat offering maximum lift capacities from 3.5 to 5.0 tonne and maximum lifting heights from 15.7 m to 24.5 m. They complement the existing range of 12 rigid frame telehandlers from Bobcat with lift capacities from 2.2 to 4.0 tonne and lift heights from 5.2 to 17.4 m.
The smallest rotary model, the TR35160, offers a maximum lifting height of 15.7 m and features a two-section telescopic boom, whilst the larger TR45190 and TR40250 models, like the TR50120 telescopic handler, have three-section booms, offering maximum lifting heights of 18.7 and 24.5 m, respectively.
Equally adept for rough terrain applications in the building, civil engineering and industrial markets, the rotary telehandlers can be supplied with a variety of Bobcat attachments, including man platforms, extension jibs, buckets and pallet forks for transporting bricks and other materials. Equipped with these attachments, the Bobcat rotary telehandlers offer all the operational advantages of a rigid-frame telescopic handler combined with a light and versatile rotating crane.
New High Horsepower Telehandler
The latest addition to the well established family of rigid frame telehandlers from Bobcat, the new TL470HF 7 metre model is powered by the 97.5 kW (130 HP) Perkins 1104D-E44TA diesel engine, offering higher horsepower and torque for superior performance and productivity, together with an increased maximum travel speed of 40 km/h.
Combined with a new load sensing pump delivering a hydraulic flow of 190 l/min, the TL470HF model offers faster cycle times at a lower engine speed when performing both single and combined boom movements. This helps to reduce fuel consumption and improve efficiency.
The TL470HF telescopic handler has a maximum lift capacity of 3.5 tonne and a maximum lift height of 7.0 m. The capacity at full lift height is 3.0 tonne, while the maximum forward reach is 4002 mm and the lift capacity at full reach is 1500 kg.
Together with the standard TL360 and TL470 models, the new TL470HF telescopic handler is part of a new generation of Bobcat 6 and 7 m telehandlers. These new generation models offer a range of improvements and several features, benefits and options that are completely new not only to the Bobcat telehandler family, but also to the industry as a whole.
For example, a patented asymmetric cab takes visibility to a new level by offering an unobstructed view across the rear of the machine. Thanks to the new asymmetric design, the right rear corner of the cab is free of structural components, providing an unobstructed view across the entire rear of the machine. In the front, the rounded windscreen and the lower pivot point for the boom ensure the operator has unmatched visibility of attachments at all heights and boom extensions.
