Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. (KPI-JCI) Thanks Brown, Bame for Years of Service

Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. (KPI-JCI) would like to thank employees Marcy Brown and Mike Bame for their combined 68 years of service and wish them well in their retirements.

Marcy Brown, whose retirement began June 1, 2012, began her career in 1986 as an accounting clerk/secretary, and was promoted in 1987 to Accounts Payable Processing Leader. She was the third woman to be inducted into the company's Quarter Century Club, which recognizes employees for 25 years of service. She has also served as the company's "Mrs. Clause" for the past 10 years at the annual Breakfast with Santa employee event.

Brown said she has seen the company grow tremendously since 1987, both in size and diversity.
"It's been really fun to see all of the changes over the years," she said. "Our growth has brought so many new opportunities. I just love the people who work here and will miss them when I'm gone."

Mike Bame, whose retirement began May 4, 2012, joined the company in 1969 and worked as a Department Leader/Welder in the frame department. Bame was promoted to Department Supervisor in the Kolberg department in 1987.

Bame and Brown are two of 92 employees who have been inducted into Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc.'s Quarter Century Club since its inception in 2000. Forty-nine members are currently employed at the company. Joe Vig, president of KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens, said the high number of members reflects a positive work environment that encourages employees to stay and grow with the company.

"Marcy Brown and Mike Bame spent a majority of their employment years with our company. Both of them contributed in a large way to the growth and development we've experienced at our facility since it began in 1965," Vig said. "The large number of long-term employees we have is a testament of their dedication to the success of Kolberg-Pioneer, and our continuing efforts to provide an enjoyable, rewarding work experience for our associates."
