Weir Minerals has launched a new website – DewateringExpertise.com – that uses interactive graphics to show which of its pumps are most appropriate for use in a wide range of mine and quarry applications.
Covering underground and open-pit mining and quarrying as well as extraction of water from lakes, rivers, ponds and the sea for use in wet processes, the site makes it simple for operators to see quickly which of Weir's wide range of pumps and other process equipment best fits their needs.
Brunella Steffanelli, regional marketing manager at Weir Minerals, said: "Dewatering is a challenge that almost all quarrying and mining operations have in common, but with so many different applications and a wide range of products to match, it is not always easy to tell which pump is right for the job.
"With the new website, a site operator can log on and see within seconds not only which family of pump to use – whether centrifugal, positive-displacement or turbine-driven and whether submersible, pontoon or shore-mounted – but also what specific models and sizes are available to fit the bill."
