Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment Welcomes Important Middle East Delegation at Intermat

Visits by dignitaries and companies from the Middle East formed a very important aspect of the Intermat 2012 Exhibition in Paris, France, for Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment (DI CE). Visitors to the 4,300 m² DI CE stand in Hall 6 were able to see a comprehensive selection of heavy and compact equipment with the Doosan, Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power brands, which form the core of one of the largest ranges of construction equipment products available in the Middle East.

Gaby Rhayem, Regional Director for DI CE for the Middle East region, said: "We showed our new Doosan excavator and wheel loader ranges specifically designed for Middle East markets for the first time at Intermat 2012. These new products were complemented by a strong display of Bobcat compact equipment and telescopic handlers. Also on display were examples of products that have migrated to the Doosan brand, such as the new DA40 40 tonne articulated dump truck and the Portable Power range of air compressors and generators."

Outside, on a demonstration area of more than 2,500 m², exciting and entertaining shows of Doosan and Bobcat equipment, judged by Intermat organizers to be the best at the exhibition, were held throughout the week.

As well as welcoming thousands of visitors, the Doosan stand hosted several important delegations from the Middle East during the week. One of the largest was an official delegation led by His Excellency Mohamed Meer Abdalla Al Raeesi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in France. The delegation was lending its support to the Paris show in advance of the Intermat Middle East Exhibition, which will take place later in the year in Abu Dhabi in the UAE from 8-10 October 2012, where Doosan, Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power products will have a major presence at the show.

Gaby Rhayem was delighted to host the UAE delegation on a tour of the DI CE stand, supported by the company's UAE dealers, Bin Brook Motors & Equipment (Doosan Heavy) and The Kanoo Group (Bobcat), who were also in attendance at Intermat 2012. His Excellency The Ambassador was presented by Gaby Rhayem with a range of Doosan and Bobcat branded goods and models as mementoes of his visit to the DI CE stand.

Heralded as the biggest and best in its history, Intermat 2012 featured more than 1350 exhibitors, of which 67% were international. With more than 200,000 visitors, a record for a B2B exhibition, including over 145,000 industry professionals (up 15.8% on 2009), of which 34% were international, Intermat again demonstrated its international reach and confirmed its position in the Mediterranean and African markets.
