Versatile Experiences Significant Growth since Becoming a CAT Compact Dealer

In January 2011, Finning announced that Kent based, Versatile Equipment LTD had become the UK's first Caterpillar compact dealer, which would open up new opportunities in the general construction market for the South East of England.
Versatile have grown from strength to strength and have had a phenomenal year in regards to machine sales, the business has made a successful transition with the introduction of two salesmen to its team, The deal has been a major move for Finning / Cat as it looked to make significant growth to its general construction equipment penetration in the UK.
Lee Chater Sales Director from Versatile said, "We have had a really good transition with Finning. As a dealer that prides ourselves on technical expertise, we saw a real fit with Finning and the Caterpillar product. With the full support and backing of the Finning team over the last year and the introduction of two new salesmen, we have sold a considerable number of units and received some great feedback from our customers. We hope to continue this success in the future and look forward to a long lasting relationship with Finning and Caterpillar."
Since its inception in 2003, Versatile Equipment has become a real expert in the compact loader and attachment markets, building a solid reputation for delivering expert solutions to support its customers throughout the region.
Cat compact dealer manager, John Tierney added, "The deal with Versatile Equipment has been an excellent move for Finning / Cat. We have had great results to date, for example, a Cat 299 Compact tracked loader was sold to an entrenched competitor machine user who now prefers his Caterpillar machine. We were also informed that another customer expressed a fuel saving of 8 litres a day since converting to a Cat 257 Multi terrain loader. The latest deal sealed by Versatile, has seen the sale of four Caterpillar machines including two Cat 300.9 and two Cat 308 mini hydraulic excavators. This was quickly followed up in March 2012 with the sale of thirteen 302.5 and two 305 machines to Kent based Complete Moling Services all fitted with Cat H45 D Hammers.
