New Role for Sandvik Construction’s Eugene Lyons

As of the 2nd April 2012 Eugene Lyons has assumed the role of Vice President Sales and Marketing, Mobile Crushers and Screens. This position will enable Eugene to utilise his extensive industry expertise and experience on a global basis, thereby enabling Sandvik mobiles to further cement their position as the world's premier supplier of mobile crushing and screening technology.

Although based at Sandvik's Swadlincote centre of operations, the role of Vice President will see Eugene Lyons assume full responsibility for the sales and marketing of the all Sandvik mobile crushing and screening equipment on a global basis. Of his new role Eugene states: "I am greatly excited by the opportunities and challenges we will face, and I know we (Mobile Crushers and Screens) possess not only world leading products, but vitally possess the people and systems to support our endeavours on a world-wide basis."

Prior to assuming his new duties Eugene was Construction Vice President for the UK and Ireland, and Sales Manager for Mobile Crushers and Screens UK and Ireland. Taking over from him in these vitally important positions are two experienced and highly able professionals.

From the 2nd April 2012 Hugh Glandfield, PLM Stationary C&S, Drilling and Tunnelling UK and Ireland, will in addition to his current roles take up the position of Construction Vice President for the UK and Ireland. Fergal O'Neill, currently Sales Manager Mobile Crushers and Screens Scotland, will assume the position of Sales Manager Mobile Crushers and Screens, UK and Ireland, also effective as of the 2nd April. The new roles for Eugene, Hugh and Fergal recognize the hard work, diligence and success all three have shown in their previous posts.

Sandvik has new and exciting times ahead with the launch of a number of products this year. These include the QJ331 jaw crusher, QE341 scalper and QS331, QS440 cone crushers as well as further developing its cone crusher portfolio with the introduction of the hanging screen option for the QH331 and QH440 models later in the year.

Sandvik works very closely with distributors and sells its products through a well established global distributor network which they will be looking to expand over the next 3-5 years to increase its coverage into key markets.
