Golding skip hire have just installed a new screening plant at their Waste Transfer Station in Burton on Trent, which has enabled them to dramatically reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
"Before investing in the new plant, most of our separation was done manually on the ground. It was hard work, throughput was low and staff turnover was high!" said Ben Golding. "We now do a quick pre-sort on the ground using the Fuchs to remove large items of wood, metal and waste. Then the remaining waste goes through the screening plant. All of the manual sorting is now done in the comfort of the picking cabin."
The new plant includes a Vibrating feed hopper, Trommel Screen, two air separators, an overband magnet and 4 bay picking station. Firstgrade designed and built the plant specifically to suit Goldings yard, and to make best use of every inch of space available.
"The service provided by Firstgrade has been excellent" says Ben Golding "and the product it's self is a credit to British Manufacturing".
