Blue Scotland has scheduled a major open days and demonstration event, which will be held at Fife Council's superb facilities at Lower Melville Wood Landfill Site, Ladybank, Fife on 10th and 11th May. Aimed at promoting the full range of recycling and quarrying plant and equipment Blue Scotland offers, the open days will provide an opportunity to clearly demonstrate the versatility of the market-leading products for which Blue Scotland is a major distributor. On show will be crushing, screening, shredding, materials handling and recycling machinery from Doppstadt, Kiverco, Powerscreen, TEREX Fuchs and Marathon.
Nine machines will be installed at the site, all them working on handling and processing a wide variety of materials which include green waste, MSW, construction, industrial, wood and inert waste. This impressive demonstration will be Blue Scotland's largest open days event to date, reinforcing the company's position as arguably the number one equipment distributor and solutions provider in the Scottish recycling, quarrying and materials handling sector.
From Doppstadt:
The DW-3060 Bio Power revolutionary slow-speed shredder, the SM-620 Star Screen, the AK-435 K high-speed mobile shredder and, new to the market, the DH-810 Chipper will be put through their paces, shredding and chipping a wide range of woodwaste, domestic, green and C&D waste.
Alongside this demonstration area, Blue Scotland's customer Scot Heating Co, leaders in turnkey biomass solutions, will be showcasing their biomass burners. Scot Heating provides O&M contracts and is a premier supplier of wood fuel including recycled timber biomass; ESCo is also available from this innovative company. Scot Heating Co recently took delivery of the UK's first Doppstadt DH-810 Chipper.
From Powerscreen:
The XA400S Mobile Crushing Plant is designed and built for primary crushing and is ideal for both recycling and quarrying applications, featuring a highly aggressive crushing action with hydraulic crusher setting adjustment and an optimum output of 450 tonnes per hour.
The market entry Warrior 800 is a multi-purpose, heavy-duty, incline two-deck screening plant, capable of stockpiling, three-way splitting or scalping before and after the crushing process. The Warrior 800 will accept material feed size up to 400mm and has a throughput capacity of up to 300 tonnes per hour, depending on the application and selected configuration.
From Kiverco:
The M512 Mobile Recycling System is a self-contained waste recycling system designed and built for total mobility and mounted on a single chassis. The M512 comprises a variable speed belt feeder, trommel screen, fines collection conveyor, air separation unit, three-bay picking station, 60kVA sound proofed generator and over-band magnet as one mobile and compact unit. The M512 is ideal for processing skip waste, separating C&D, commercial, industrial or municipal waste, RDF processing and cleaning contaminated compost or woodwaste.
From Marathon:
The Marathon Gemini-Xtreme is a mid-capacity, closed-end, multi-material baler with a vertical tie system, which is ideal for baling light alloys, paper, plastics, PET and similar waste stream materials, producing a standard sized bale in an average cycle time of only 34 seconds. The Gemini-Xtreme can be installed with an above floor or pit conveyor as required.
From TEREX Fuchs:
Blue Group was recently appointed UK distributor for this range of versatile and reliable machines and provides nationwide sales and after-sales product support through all the Blue Group companies.
The MHL331 and MHL350 are from a comprehensive range of wheeled hydraulic materials handlers, designed and built specifically for long and high reach applications, specifically for feeding processors and stockpiling duties in the recycling sector. Four hydraulic outriggers provide stability for static loading work and the infinitely variable hydraulically height adjustable cabs give the operators a raised line-of-sight, which is a distinct advantage for processor feeding and contribute to operational safety with enhanced visibility during the working process.
Commenting on the forthcoming Open Days event, Blue Scotland's Managing Director Austin Carey said "We are grateful to Fife Council for their much appreciated co-operation in staging these open days at their Lower Melville Wood Landfill Site. This is an ideal venue with plenty of material available for processing through our varied machines on display and we look forward to welcoming existing and potential customers during this two-day event".
